Sound quality and metadata completeness
The two readings on every row in the Add Recordings queue.
Every folder in the Add Recordings queue arrives with two readings, Sound Quality and Metadata Completeness. Both read High, Medium or Low, and both open their own tab on the row.
Sound quality
Trellis reads the audio and estimates how easy the recording is to sit through.
The Sound Quality tab holds the full report, and listening quality covers what goes into it.
Metadata completeness
How much of the show is described. Eight fields carry the show itself: artist,
date, venue, city, state, country, source and lineage. Every track adds one more
for a real title, so “Track 01”, “Untitled” and a bare d1t02 count as the
absence of one. Dates count by precision, so a bare year is worth a third of a
full date.
The Metadata tab lists every field it counts and marks anything absent as Missing. Under that it prints the track titles it proposes, with the placeholders flagged.
Values come from the FLAC tags and the info file in the folder.
