Trellis

Browsing and search

Finding something in a library too large to remember.

Browse is where Trellis opens.

The Top Shelf

A strip of recordings across the top of the page. The chevrons move through it, and Shuffle shows a fresh set.

The shelf draws from recordings graded A and A+, one act at a time, and reaches for shows you have not played yet. Each tile carries the artist, the venue, the date, the source and the letter grade.

The list

One row per recording, with genre color running down the leading edge: date, artist, venue, source, letter grade. It opens on Recently added. A-Z, Newest and Oldest sit next to it. More rows load as you scroll.

Filters

Quality, Source and Genre, each option carrying a count. Quality is the letter grade. The Source options are built from your own library. Pick more than one and they narrow together. Clear resets all three.

The box at the top of the window searches artists, musicians, venues and dates, in any combination. Press / from anywhere to jump into it.

Results group into Artists, Recordings, Venues and Musicians, a few of each in the dropdown with a full page behind it.

Several words narrow: hot rize 1983 means the act and the year. Accents fold, so esbjorn finds Esbjörn.

A musician’s row opens their own page, and searching their name turns up the shows their acts played.

Collections

A strip below the list, if you have any. See collections.
