The research assistant
Optional, runs on your own Anthropic key, and proposes changes for you to apply.
In the app this is called AI Assist. It stays off until you add your own Anthropic key.
Your own key
Open Settings, go to AI assistance, paste an Anthropic API key and click Save key. The key goes into your Mac’s keychain. The Model menu underneath offers Sonnet, which researches harder, or Haiku, which is faster.
What a run uses
Before a run, the ask box gives the token range a pass uses and the number of searches it may make. Afterwards a badge shows what the run used.
Where you will find it
| Where | Button | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Adding a recording | AI Assist | Researches the show |
| A saved recording | AI Assist | The same pass, later |
| An artist page | AI Assist | Rewrites the description |
| An artist page | Research lineup | Who was in the act, and when |
Each has an ask box, and a question steers the pass.
Applying what comes back
On a recording, proposals cover artist, date, venue, city, state, country, source, lineage and event. Every row carries a confidence, a link to its source, and its own Apply button.
A researched setlist arrives as suggestions with one Apply to tracks button over them. If no setlist turns up, the run says so under Verify. Provenance notes and the full source list sit below that.
Lineup rows carry a name, an instrument, the dates of the stint, a confidence and a link. Add to roster puts the person on the act and dates the stint.
The description on an artist page is written straight into place, and you can edit it like any other text. That run also suggests external resource links, each with its own Add.
