Trellis

Multi-disc shows

How Trellis works out that several folders, or one flat folder, hold a single concert.

A two-set show that arrives as CD1 and CD2 is one recording. What Trellis finds it calls a set.

From subfolder names

CD1, Disc 2, Set 3 and the like, with the number spelled or written as a digit. A folder qualifies when its name reads that way and it holds audio, and there have to be two of them.

From filenames

Shows that arrive flat carry the set in the filename: d01t01, cd1t05, s2t03. Every audio file has to match and there have to be two different set numbers.

What ends up in your library

The audio lands flat in one recording folder, renamed to its track number and title. Everything that is not audio keeps the place it came in, disc folders included. Each track carries a set label taken from the folder or the filename, CD 1, Disc 2, Set 1.

A checksum file sitting inside a disc folder is matched against that disc’s tracks. See checksums and fingerprints.
